Blindsided by Jessica Broberg

Blindsided

Caught off guard. And not for the first time.

So scandalous. So I thought.

But here in the shadow your Light casts upon me

it doesn’t seem so

Overwhelming.

Blindsided by my own heart.

So full

of rules & laws

I can’t make out the

Grace

that’s standing right before me.

What a Pharisee I’ve been. I still am.

What can wash me white as snow?

Nothing but the blood that dripped from the nails

that pierced your hands.

The same hands that ache to hold me

in my brokenness.

My regrets, my sins, my failures.

Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

The only scandal that remains

Seems to be

the waywardness in me.

I am mother to three of the most amazing kids & am madly in love with my husband who just also happens to be my best friend. I am passionate about all things faith & family. We live a rather quiet & simple life...I wouldn't want it any other way.
